The Mille Miglia

From 1927 to 1957, the Mille Miglia was one of the toughest road races in the world: 1,600 kilometers from Brescia to Rome and back, on open roads, in front of millions of spectators. After a serious accident in 1957, it was canceled but has lived on since 1977 as a regularity rally for authentic pre-war and post-war vehicles. Today it is considered the 'most beautiful race in the world'—and rolling automotive history.
