06.03.2026, The Family Business Award Celebrates Its 15th Anniversary. Since 2012, the AMAG Group has been recognising Swiss family businesses that act responsibly, sustainably, and with strong values. The application phase for the prestigious award is now open, inviting family businesses to become part of a success story that highlights family entrepreneurship in Switzerland.
Family businesses think long-term - for their employees, their region, and future generations. It is precisely this mindset that the Family Business Award has been recognising for the past 15 years. We want to encourage entrepreneurial families to make their responsible actions and commitment visible," explains Helmut Ruhl, CEO of the AMAG Group AG.
Interested companies can submit their applications online at family-business-award.ch until 30 April 2026.
15 Years of Family Business Award: A Prize with Impact
The Family Business Award annually honours a Swiss family business that impresses with sustainable entrepreneurship and strong values. Eligible to participate are companies headquartered in Switzerland, employing more than 25 people and managed in at least the second generation. The award provides national visibility to family businesses, making their impressive achievements and their significance to the Swiss economic landscape accessible to a broader public.
Since 2012, AMAG has been sponsoring the Family Business Award in memory of its founder Walter Haefner. The anniversary year underlines the ongoing relevance of the award: Family businesses form the backbone of the Swiss economy - around 90% of all companies in Switzerland are family-run.
