Chicorée is the market leader among Swiss fashion companies for affordable women's clothing and achieved total revenue of 183 million CHF in 2025, which is a decrease of 1% compared to the previous year.
"In view of the challenging market conditions in brick-and-mortar retail, the bleak economic outlook, and the temporary closure of two high-revenue stores in Gäupark Egerkingen and Bern train station, we are very satisfied with this result," says Thomas Ullmann, CEO of the Chicorée Group. "A huge thanks to our nearly 1,000 dedicated employees." Ullmann is optimistic for 2026: "We are confident that we can increase total revenue in the current year. The new collections are very well received by our target audience and are increasingly appealing to younger customers. This makes us very positive for the coming year."
In 2025, three new stores were opened. The Chicorée Group now has 185 locations across all regions of Switzerland and employs over 970 staff.
**5 New Openings Already Planned**
For the year 2026, Chicorée is aiming for further growth. At the beginning of the year, five new openings are planned: a new store in the canton of Aargau, and two each in the cantons of Ticino and Basel-Landschaft. "As a strong driver of foot traffic, we have a very good position in rental negotiations," says Thomas Ullmann. The Chicorée store network already covers the majority of Switzerland and will continue to be strategically optimized and expanded.
**Successful Launch of Mini & Me Collection**
In 2025, the new Mini & Me collection was also successfully launched. The collection is specifically targeted at mothers and daughters and consciously aims to reach the next generation of Chicorée customers. "The positive feedback confirms the strategic direction and strengthens long-term brand loyalty," says Mathias Weber, Co-CEO of the Chicorée Group and part of the owning family.
**Promotion of Young Talents and Investment in Training**
Another focus is on the systematic development of young talents in leadership positions and on strengthening apprentice training.
"In recent years, we have developed many talents from within our ranks and successfully filled a large part of our management positions with young talents. At the same time, we are continuously investing in the training of our apprentices," says Pascal Weber, Co-CEO of the Chicorée Group and part of the owning family.
**Investments in Technology, Start-Ups, and Omnichannel**
Chicorée also plans extensive investments in technology and the further development of the omnichannel strategy this year. The focus is on innovations in the customer program and personalized customer communication to further strengthen brand loyalty. "We are consistently advancing technological innovation - including through the development and acquisition of our in-house tech start-ups," explains Pascal Weber.
The online shop will be expanded to include most of the product range, and new omnichannel services like Click & Collect are planned. Customers will soon be able to reserve products online and conveniently pay for or pick them up in-store.
