22.09.2025, Since August 2025, the MAS Real Estate of the Department of Architecture, Wood and Construction at the Bern University of Applied Sciences BFH has a new head: Dr. Adrian Wildenauer focuses on the connection between tradition, innovation, and sustainability.

Dr. Adrian Wildenauer is a lecturer in Digital Building at the BFH and has taken over the leadership of the Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Real Estate as of August 1, 2025. With his extensive experience in the real estate industry and a clear commitment to innovation, he aims to consistently further develop the course.

Vision for the MAS Real Estate

"Building on proven foundations while integrating new perspectives, technologies, and approaches." This is Dr. Adrian Wildenauer's guiding principle for the development of the MAS Real Estate. His vision is to create a learning environment that equips students with sound expertise and enables them to tackle the complex challenges of the modern real estate industry. Practical skills, critical thinking, and strategic understanding are just as much the focus as the ability to develop innovative solutions.

For Dr. Adrian Wildenauer, the future of the real estate industry lies in the connection of traditional knowledge with digital technologies and sustainable approaches. "The industry is changing, shaped by digitalization, climate issues, and evolving societal needs. Graduates must be able to critically question established models and implement future-oriented concepts," he emphasizes.

Under his leadership, the MAS Real Estate will further bridge the gap between science and practice. The strong exchange with lecturers, students, and industry partners forms the foundation for this. The goal is to position the master’s program as a leading course in the further education of real estate professionals, thereby making a significant contribution to the development of the industry.

After many years of committed leadership of the MAS Real Estate, Dr. Boris Szélpal has stepped down to focus on new projects at the BFH. The BFH thanks him for his valuable contributions and is pleased that Dr. Adrian Wildenauer will continue the course with fresh impetus.

Broad Further Education Offering

In addition to the MAS Real Estate, the BFH-AHB offers three CAS in real estate: the CAS Site and Real Estate Project Development, the CAS Real Estate Valuation, and the CAS Portfolio and Asset Management Real Estate. Another offering is the Module Usage Development – in collaboration with the Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Business Administration HWZ.
