'Paris Stopover' responds to strong customer demand: According to a study published by the Pégase Chair in April 2026, 81% of travellers with a connecting flight in Paris expressed 'some' or 'strong' interest in leaving the airport to explore Paris or additional attractions around Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport between their flights. Among Brazilian travellers, this figure rises to 92.3%, and 90% among Indian travellers. For both nationalities, a French transit visa has not been required since April 2026.

'Paris Stopover' highlights Paris and France's allure as a destination
Packages assembled by Extime Travel spotlight the diverse attractions of the French capital and its surroundings. With the 'Paris Must-See' package, travellers discover the city's most famous landmarks - from the Eiffel Tower to the Louvre. The 'Disneyland Paris' package invites families for a magical stay just outside the French capital.
Soon, the offer will be expanded to include more exclusive premium experiences as well as cultural, gastronomic, and festive excursions, thereby continually broadening the selection of bookable experiences through Extime Travel. Meanwhile, Air France and Extime Travel are also committed to raising awareness of the region around Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport as an attractive destination.
All packages offered by Extime Travel include comfortable transfers, one or more nights in carefully selected four- or five-star hotels in central Paris or Disneyland Paris, and a selection of unforgettable experiences. These can be tailored to the available stay duration and the travellers' personal preferences.
The launch of 'Paris Stopover' marks a significant milestone in the strategic 'Connect France' partnership, which Air France-KLM and the Groupe ADP concluded in June 2025. The collaboration aims to further strengthen the attraction and international renown of Air France's hub at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport and at the same time promote Paris and France's position as a leading global travel destination. With 'Paris Stopover', Paris- Charles de Gaulle becomes the first major European hub airport to offer travellers a comprehensive tourist experience between flights.
'Paris Stopover' is open to all Air France customers with connecting flights, regardless of whether they are travelling in Economy, Premium, Business, or La Première class. The offer can be booked - subject to availability - up to 48 hours before departure with Extime Travel.
The offer applies to customers who have booked their tickets through the Air France website with the 'Stopover' option and whose layover duration is at least 27 hours.
