Green Key is an international environmental certificate for the tourism and hotel industry, awarded by the Foundation for Environmental Education. It is granted to properties that meet defined requirements in areas such as energy, water, waste, procurement, and social responsibility. Its implementation is regularly monitored through independent audits.
With the certification, all SV Hotel properties automatically achieve the highest level of the Swiss sustainability program Swisstainable, Level III 'Leading'. The program categorizes establishments based on recognized evidence, making sustainable commitments transparent and comparable for guests.
'By obtaining the Green-Key certification, we demonstrate that our properties systematically implement sustainability,' says Marco Meier, Managing Director of SV Hotel. 'The key is not a single measure, but a continuously managed process of improvement in operations.'
With the current certification round, all 32 SV Hotel properties in Germany and Switzerland carry the internationally recognized Green-Key seal.
