The event, titled 'Échos de Paix – Young People Sing for Children in Palestine,' combines musical passion with a humanitarian aim. Through their music, the singers convey hope, solidarity, and compassion for the sick children in Palestine. The concert, organized by Opus du Vorbourg, is under the musical direction of Philippe Savoy.
A portion of the concert proceeds will benefit the Caritas Baby Hospital in Bethlehem, the only hospital in Palestine specialising in paediatrics. The hospital treats tens of thousands of infants and children each year, regardless of origin, religion, or social status. Additionally, part of the proceeds will be used to provide medical care for a child from Gaza in Jura.
'“Music can offer hope and bring people together,”' says Kathrin Salmon, Managing Director of Kinderhilfe Bethlehem. '“We are grateful for this strong sign of solidarity and for the commitment of the young choir members, who specifically contribute to making the right to health for sick children a reality.”'
The concert is under the patronage of the government of Jura, the president and the office of the parliament of Jura, and the association of the communes of Jura.
