What began in 1956 with a simple recipe leaflet soon became a Swiss icon. Now, Betty Bossi is even making the leap to the big screen. 'Hello Betty' honours the culinary brand with a film about its creator, Emmi Creola-Maag, marking the pinnacle of its story.
Tonight, more than 300 invited guests celebrated the film and Switzerland's most renowned cook. Among them were host Sven Epiney, top chef Dario Cadonau, and skiing legend Maria Walliser.
A Cookbook to Eat
At the cinema, Coop CEO Philipp Wyss and Betty Bossi Managing Director Lars Feldmann welcomed guests and revealed the secret to Betty Bossi's success: understanding the challenges in the kitchen and household to make everyday life simpler and more enjoyable.
After the film, the film crew was thanked, including actors Sarah Spale, Martin Vischer, Zoe Pastelle, director Pierre Monnard, C-Films producer Peter Reichenbach, and screenwriter André Küttel. They received the Betty Bossi cookbook for the film 'Success Recipes', in the form of a cake, since they, being busy individuals, don't have much time for cooking, as Lars Feldmann noted.
'Call me Betty'
The party then moved to the Soho Rooftop Bar with another highlight: rapper Gigi Malua performed her new song 'Call me Betty' live for the first time – a tribute to advertiser and Betty Bossi creator Emmi Creola-Maag. The 25-year-old from Grisons had spontaneously rapped about Betty Bossi on a TV show, prompting the company to collaborate with the singer on the brand's first song.
For nearly 70 years, Betty Bossi has stood for simple, enjoyable solutions that work in real life. On November 6, it was celebrated – with an evening full of emotions, empowerment, highlights, and, unsurprisingly, delightful food.
The film 'Hello Betty' premieres on November 20 in German Switzerland and Ticino, and on November 26 in the Romandy.
