The acquired business components include the platform 'Flow' - on which the mobility app Basel Go! is based, among others - as well as the analysis and consultancy product range 'routeRANK'. These two solutions already form important components of BLT's and its partners' digital mobility offerings today. With the acquisition, BLT takes over ten employees and approximately 40 existing customer relationships in Switzerland.
Strengthening the Digital Customer Interface The Flow platform forms the technological backbone for various applications along the customer interface - from mobility apps to data-based services for transport companies. With the acquisition, BLT gains additional room for development in enhancing high-performance public transport offerings in passenger information, sales, and customer service.
Companies as Key to the Mobility Transition With the routeRANK products (Analytics, Planner, Parking), BLT complements its offering in the area of data-based mobility solutions for corporate customers. Companies play a central role in shaping the daily mobility of their employees and are an important lever for the mobility transition. BLT offers them routeRANK analyses, consultancy services, and digital tools to better understand their employees' commuting patterns and implement sustainable mobility solutions.
Transaction Creates Synergies The integration of the new solutions creates synergies with BLT's existing digital offerings, particularly in corporate mobility and data-based mobility services. At the same time, the bundling of expertise, technologies, and customer relationships enables more efficient development and operational structures.
The transaction's financing is entirely covered by BLT's market-oriented business sector and thus through funds outside of subsidised public transport. The purchase price remains undisclosed.
Consistent Implementation of BLT Strategy For years, BLT has been one of the leading public transport companies in the field of Smart Mobility. In line with its vision 'Inspiring People for Public Mobility', it develops smart mobility offerings that sensibly connect public transport with other forms of mobility and enhance the customer experience. Innovative offerings like Pick-e-Bike and Basel Go! have become established components of a modern, networked mobility offering in the Basel region.
'BLT consistently develops into an integrated mobility service provider. With this acquisition, we strengthen our technology competence, complement our digital portfolio, and simultaneously promote our growth in the corporate customer business,' says CEO Frédéric Monard.
