The acquisition is part of the consistent implementation of Dätwyler's strategy to purposefully expand the Food & Beverage business in structurally growing and less cyclical market segments with continuous customer demand. With the transaction, Dätwyler strengthens its position in the market for Nespresso-compatible aluminium capsules, expands its expertise in solution design, and solidifies its positioning as a leading provider of sophisticated sealing and packaging solutions in the highly regulated food environment.
Capsul’in provides a stable contribution to top-line development in the mid-double-digit million CHF range, increases revenue visibility and predictability, and strengthens innovation capability. The acquisition was fully financed from existing liquid funds. The planned expansion of production capacities at the Swiss site in Schattdorf is progressing as scheduled, laying the foundation for scalable further development on an enhanced revenue base. This opens up attractive medium- to long-term growth and result potential, further supported by the regulatory trend from plastic to aluminium capsules.
