Over 20 Years with the McFamily Daniel Weber has been part of McDonald's for more than two decades. He started in 1999 as a restaurant employee in Berlin and, over the following years, took on various leadership roles in the operations and training areas of McDonald's Germany. Most recently, he was responsible for all nationwide projects and initiatives in the operations sector. The 46-year-old has been honoured multiple times for his achievements, including receiving the global McDonald's Presidents’ Award.
Finest Burgers Perfectly Served In his new role, Daniel Weber, together with his team and in close cooperation with the franchisees, will ensure that the established standards in the kitchen, table service, McDrive, and delivery service are consistently upheld. 'Our guests should enjoy a unique experience in every restaurant—friendly, fast, and reliable,' describes Daniel Weber, sharing McDonald's ambition. 'We rely on the highest standards in quality, service, and hygiene and continuously develop our processes to not only meet but exceed the expectations of our guests.'
The operations team actively shapes the future of gastronomy through innovative technologies, sustainable solutions, and a culture placing employees at the centre. 'Our guests should feel at home with us, our teams should work with pride, and we should collectively take responsibility for the environment and society,' adds the new Operations Director.
Collaboration with Independent Franchise Partners In Switzerland, over 90 percent of restaurants are operated by independent franchisees. They are central partners for the Senior Operations Director in delivering unique dining experiences.
Promoting Internal Talent The appointment of Daniel Weber underscores the importance of talent development and international exchange at McDonald's. His predecessor, Laurianne Robatel, has been with McDonald's Switzerland since 2008 and will now assume the role of Global Delivery Lead at the headquarters in Chicago. With Daniel Weber, the management team receives a new member while the gender balance remains at 50 percent women.
