14.07.2026, St. Gallen () - At the end of 2025, Debrunner Acifer AG introduced AI-based image search in the e-shop. Just a few months later, the digital application was honoured at the Digital Commerce Award 2026. Debrunner Acifer also confirmed its strong position among the leading B2B online shops by ranking ninth in the Carpathia sales ranking 2026.


Debrunner Acifer AG is investing in the further development of digital processes. The focus is on the clients: New digital applications reduce process costs for clients and secure a competitive advantage.

AI image search in the e-shop: Photograph products and order directly

As the only company in the construction industry, Debrunner Acifer offers AI-based image search in the e-shop: Customers photograph a product and/or upload the image and receive suggestions for visually similar items from the range within seconds. They then continue shopping as usual. The application simplifies the search for products and saves time when ordering. It is particularly helpful if the exact product name is unknown or there is uncertainty about the spelling.

Fourth place for image search at the Digital Commerce Award 2026

Shortly after its introduction, the image search gained attention: At the Digital Commerce Award 2026, the AI-based application achieved fourth place in the category 'AI Integration.' Debrunner Acifer was also awarded fourth place in the category 'B2B Service & Process Integration.' The awards show that digital applications in B2B trade impress, especially when they solve specific challenges in everyday work. This is where the image search comes in: It shortens search paths, makes product selection easier, and makes the ordering process more efficient.

Again in the top ten in the Carpathia sales ranking 2026

Debrunner Acifer also confirms its strong digital position in the Carpathia sales ranking. For the eighth time in a row, Carpathia lists the e-shop of Debrunner Acifer among the ten highest-grossing B2B online shops. The ninth place in July 2026 underscores the importance of the e-shop as a digital sales channel. The B2B trader, producer, and service provider will continue to develop its digital applications and further simplify work processes for clients.
