06.07.2026, Gstaad - Two brands that embody enjoyment and hospitality in their own way are bringing a new slice of piazza feeling to Gstaad this summer: Miiro The Mansard, together with Gelateria di Berna, is opening a gelato pop-up of the finest kind. The selected gelati are the best reason for a chat and stopover in the bustling mountain village. The pop-up opens on 3 July 2026, coinciding with the beach volleyball tournament, and continues throughout the summer season.


A gelato in hand, the sun on your face, and a brief chat with acquaintances or strangers: This is exactly the effortless togetherness that Gelateria di Berna and Miiro The Mansard bring to Gstaad. The meticulously crafted flavours - from Caramel Fleur de Sel to Cocco Vegan - are available at the mobile stand in front of the hotel, in the restaurant, and on the rooftop terrace overlooking the Bernese Alps.

Refreshing collaboration on equal footing

Miiro The Mansard sees itself as an open house in the heart of Gstaad - a place where enjoyment, hospitality, and encounters are at the forefront. With the new gelato pop-up, the boutique hotel expands its culinary offerings with a summer indulgence moment for hotel guests, locals, second-home residents, and visitors strolling along the Gstaad promenade. 'This is definitely a story of longing. We were determined to bring the popular gelati, which have already conquered cities from Bern to Zurich and Basel, to the world village of Gstaad,’ says Stefan Ludwig, General Manager at Miiro The Mansard.

For Hansmartin Amrein, co-founder of Gelateria di Berna, the pop-up in the world-famous Gstaad means far more than a new location. During his time at the regional court in Saanen, he developed a deep bond with the Saanenland. Even then, the desire arose to one day be present in Gstaad with his own gelateria. The pop-up at The Mansard now fulfills a long-held dream: 'For me, Gstaad is a heart’s desire. A place where locals and people from all over the world are naturally united, like on a large piazza. It is both an honour and ambition to offer our best gelati right here.’

Summer in the display case

With the pop-up, Gelateria di Berna is bringing a Piccola Gelateria to Gstaad for the first time. The gelati are freshly made every day in the production lab in the canton of Bern and delivered to Gstaad. This ensures the accustomed quality is maintained even in the mountains. Selected classics and seasonal creations take their place in the display case: Chief among them is the popular 'Mare di Berna' with premium Tonda hazelnuts and chocolate from a small manufactory in Alba. For hot summer days, light, fruity sorbets such as Raspberry-Ginger offer a refreshing alternative with its delicate ginger note. The gelato is available not only in cones or cups. Head Chef Tom Walter and his team also serve a selection of ice cream variations, presented in elegant ice cream bowls, in the restaurant. Thus, the gelato complements the house’s dessert offering.
