With the new station in Rubigen, Electra is deliberately focusing on high-traffic transport hubs and complementing the charging points already available in Bern at the Zentrum Europaplatz and BERNEXPO.
On the car park near the cultural and event hall Mühle Hunziken, there are three charging stations with a total of six fast charging points, each with a power output of 300 kW. Thanks to the clear and user-friendly ElectraLine, customers benefit from a simple, transparent charging experience. In the immediate vicinity, there are shopping facilities and dining options, providing a pleasant diversion during the charging process.
The location is suitable not only for daily commuters but also especially for travellers heading to the Jungfrau region, Interlaken, or generally to the Bernese Oberland. Particularly during the winter season, the route gains additional importance as it represents a central connection to the ski areas.
"We are consistently expanding our charging infrastructure along central transport axes. Rubigen is a strategically important location between city, agglomeration, and tourist destination," says Alessandro Inderbitzin, General Manager DACH at Electra. "With the six fast charging points, we are creating a powerful offering for everyday life and travel to the Bernese Oberland."
With the new station, Electra strengthens its presence in the Canton of Bern in addition to the charging points Zentrum Europaplatz and BERNEXPO by another point and further promotes the expansion of a comprehensive, urban charging infrastructure in Switzerland.
