17.04.2026, Electra opens its first motorway fast charging location in Switzerland: At the MY STOP service station on the A4 in Knonaueramt, the central traffic axis between Zurich, Zug and Lucerne, as well as on the way to Central Switzerland and towards Italy, high-performance Electra charging points for electric vehicles are now available.

With three 400-kW charging points (6 charging points) per direction and two additional 300-kW charging stations (4 charging points) outside the motorway towards Affoltern am Albis, the new hub offers one of the most powerful charging solutions in the Swiss motorway network.

The MY STOP service station is regarded as one of the most sustainable service stations in Switzerland and, in addition to the charging facilities, offers numerous amenities: a fast-food restaurant, coffee, sanitary facilities as well as other shopping options make the charging stop a comfortable travel break. Additionally, guests can enjoy a spectacular view above the motorway of the Swiss Alps.

A special guest was present at the station’s opening: Daniel Ott, an e-rally driver from the region and the figurehead behind the Swordfish_EV FIA-Rally Team, brought one of his electric vehicles – aptly named “Electra” – to the event. Electra is the official charging partner of the Swordfish_EV team. The opening was held jointly with the &Charge community, which directly tested the new charging park and enriched it with valuable POI data.

“The combination of Tesla and Electra charging facilities in both directions makes our location one of the most powerful charging parks near the motorway in Switzerland. As the owner of MY STOP, our aim is to offer our customers not only a pleasant break but real added value – with modern, high-performance charging infrastructures that meet the growing needs of electromobility,” says Joerg Furrer, owner of the service station.

With the new location in Knonaueramt, Electra marks an important milestone: This is the company's first motorway fast charging station in Switzerland.
