18.02.2026, Employees Switzerland is very concerned about the developments at CSL Behring: Employees deserve a clear, transparent strategy instead of seemingly contradictory investment decisions and repeated loss of expertise.

Employees Switzerland is alarmed by the ongoing course of CSL Behring, which also fails to impress at the stock market. Since the announcement of several workforce reduction measures, the company has experienced a steady decline in its share price. This clearly shows: It is not without reason that the specialized know-how of the employees is the company's most valuable asset. Therefore, we demand that CSL Behring immediately halts the reduction of employees.

We expect CSL Behring to communicate clearly

Employees Switzerland demands full transparency from CSL Behring in the ongoing consultation process. Employees at the Bern site have the right to know which areas are affected to what extent and how the organizational chart is supposed to look in the future. Only in this way can serious alternatives to job cuts be jointly developed.

We demand that CSL Behring reassigns rather than dismisses

The management has indeed announced that not only will jobs be cut, but new ones will also be created in the same areas. However, they remain conspicuously vague. It is neither clear when this should happen nor which specific positions are affected.

Instead of dismissing long-standing employees only to recruit again later, CSL Behring should live up to its social responsibility and promote internal transfers as much as possible. Only in this way can know-how be preserved, trust be strengthened, and a fair treatment of the workforce be ensured.

Do not remain silent, but respond

We demand a clear and transparent strategy for the site. It must not happen that downsizing rounds occur every six months and the site management retreats in such a decisive phase, leaving employees in uncertainty. The downsizing must be stopped.

Right now, open communication, reliable prospects, and responsible actions are needed instead of further uncertainty and silent decisions to the detriment of the employees.

"A bleeding out of the company must be stopped," says Pierre Derivaz, Lawyer of Employees Switzerland. "The employees have a right to information, planning security, and a site management that takes responsibility."
