Lager beer is by far the most popular type of beer in Switzerland. Three out of four beers consumed last year in Switzerland were lagers[1]. Feldschlösschen continues to strengthen its position in this category with more varieties. The latest creation is called Feldschlösschen Helvetic: A Swiss Lager that was launched in the hospitality sector in 2025 and is now also available in retail. Brewed with 100% Swiss hops, Feldschlösschen Helvetic impresses with fine malt notes, mild bitterness, and a slightly sweet finish - a balanced and refreshing taste that pairs especially well with social moments.
For the first time, the Feldschlösschen brewery is opting for the 33 cl sleek can format with Helvetic. The slender can, with less content than the usual 50 cl can, aligns with the trend towards moderate consumption. Feldschlösschen Helvetic with 4.7% alcohol by volume is available in selected Coop supermarkets as well as in the Feldschlösschen online beverage shop, also in a 4-pack with 27.5 cl returnable glass bottles.
The visual design of the packaging is inspired by the birthplace of all Feldschlösschen beers: the brewhouse. The blue-green tiles and the copper color of the brew kettles are mirrored on the cans, bottles, and packaging.
Promotion of Young Talent in the Hospitality Industry
With the launch of Feldschlösschen Helvetic, the brewery also founded the Feldschlösschen Pro Gastro Fund in 2025. Last year, a six-figure amount from the sale of the beer was donated to the fund. This supported 'Avanti!', an initiative by GastroSuisse, and financed the 'Talent Table' initiative. The initiative connects training establishments with young talents - aiming to attract more youth to pursue a career in the hospitality industry. Proceeds from retail sales will also support projects dedicated to sustainable talent promotion in the gastronomy sector.
