19.01.2026, Flexible working is commonplace, but without clear rules it quickly becomes a productivity risk. DNA, the Swiss Flexwork app by Further at Work, provides businesses with a practical tool that creates orientation and makes flexible work more successful.

Flexible working models such as home office, part-time work, or location-independent work have been a fixed part of everyday work life since the Covid pandemic. They offer many opportunities but also present new challenges for companies: Coordination becomes more complex, misunderstandings increase, and productivity fluctuates. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and HR managers, in particular, are in search of practical solutions.

With the DNA app, companies now have a practical tool specifically designed to provide support. DNA is a product of Further at Work, an initiative of the Swiss Employers’ Association and transfair.

Scientifically based. Directly applicable.

The app combines scientifically developed models with concrete practical examples, checks, tests, and exercises. Employees strengthen their flexwork skills, while managers and HR prioritize the relevant topics themselves. This creates a common learning and discussion base, providing orientation and reducing uncertainty.

The software operates without additional systems or technical adaptations. With the DNA app, the perceived risk of flexible work becomes an opportunity: for satisfied employees, strong teams, and a competitive company.

Stefan Müller-Altermatt, National Council Member and Board Member of Swiss Employees emphasizes: "The world of work is changing rapidly and so are expectations regarding collaboration, responsibility, and flexibility. Solutions that empower people to competently and healthily shape these changes make an important contribution to our society and the future of work culture."

"Digital innovations like the DNA app make an important contribution to fairness and participation. They highlight where we stand as a society and where we can improve together," says Greta Gysin, National Council Member and transfair Board Member.

Further at Work: successful together

The world of work is changing, trade union membership is declining, and challenges are becoming more complex. In 2020, transfair and Swiss Employees decided to jointly and proactively take new paths.

Through Further at Work, they offer support to those employees and companies seeking advice and support beyond the union approach but with an interest in fair, sustainable solutions. DNA is the digital flexwork app of this initiative.
