19.05.2026, Bern () The goal of the newly established association is to proactively implement integrated care from the cantonal health strategy, with a focus on the Bern-Mittelland region. By doing so, the association members are making a clear statement and are committed to coordinated, patient-oriented, and high-quality healthcare along the care process.

Strategic collaborations and networking between healthcare actors play a crucial role in ensuring the future viability of the healthcare system. At the end of March 2026, existing cooperation partners mediX bern, tilia Foundation, Concara Group and Lindenhofgruppe founded the Association Xundheitsnetz Bärn. All partners have been working intensively together bilaterally or in cooperation for several years. Representatives Dr. med. Connor Fuhrer (mediX bern), Dr. Niklas Hirt (tilia Foundation), Daniel Schibler (Concara Group) and Dr. Marc Schulthess (Lindenhofgruppe, Presidency) form the board of the association.

The association thus proactively implements integrated care from the cantonal health strategy.

"The health strategy of the Canton of Bern 2020-2030 focuses on integrated care and the development of regional health networks. Xundheitsnetz Bärn is a concrete contribution to implementing this strategy. The Directorate of Health, Social Affairs and Integration (GSI) supports this path."

Pierre Alain Schnegg, Councillor, Director of Health, Social Affairs and Integration

The aim of Xundheitsnetz Bärn is to sustainably strengthen integrated care. The focus is on developing coordinated, patient-oriented, cross-sectoral, and high-quality healthcare in the Bern-Mittelland region.

Xundheitsnetz Bärn promotes and simplifies the cooperation and networking of actors involved in care and supports innovative care models. Knowledge exchange, professional dialogue, and joint development of solutions are at the forefront. Synergies between the association members should be utilised and the network strengthened. The integration of further relevant healthcare providers into the association is planned gradually.

Already initiated projects focus on simplifying interface management, increasing data and information transparency, as well as inter-organisational models of training and further education in the medical and nursing fields.

This allows doctors of the Lindenhofgruppe direct insight into the medical histories of affiliated mediX bern partner practices. mediX bern is convinced that due to emerging developments, new challenges are facing healthcare.
