21.11.2025, With the project 'Jeunes Talents Noël', the national group 'Musique & Culture' of the SRG brings together four renowned youth choirs from different parts of the country. The highlight of the project is the joint Advent concert on 30 November 2025 in Lugano, where a choir piece composed specifically for the project by Swiss musicians Heidi Happy and Valentin Villard will be premiered.

Already for the fourth time, the SRG is organizing a national project to promote talent in classical and jazz music. This year, 'Jeunes Talents Noël' will bring together four renowned youth choirs from all linguistic regions of Switzerland: the Graubünden Youth Choir, the Boy Singers of the St. Ursen Cathedral Solothurn, the Choir of the Schola de Sion, and the Coro Calicantus from Locarno.

Swiss musician Heidi Happy and Swiss musician Valentin Villard are also participating, having composed a choir piece for this occasion commissioned by the SRG - she wrote the lyrics, he composed the music. 'Allegria, pace, Glück, amour' became a contemporary Christmas song in four languages that incorporates the world of the young singing talents. The lyricist and the composer personally met the selected youth choirs and infused these impressions into the composition.

'It was exciting for me to break out of the Heidi Happy world and exchange with people who have a different approach to music. That I could contribute to the sensitization and preservation of the four national languages means a lot to me.' (Heidi Happy)

'I wanted something lighter and more connecting, but without resorting to a simple solution: a somewhat introverted verse that nevertheless sets bright accents and transitions into a refrain that is danceable, concise, and full of energy.' (Valentin Villard)

The approximately 120 young singers of the four youth choirs met at the beginning of September 2025 as part of the 'Schubertiade RTS Espace 2', where they sang the choir piece together for the first time.

The highlight of the choir project will be the joint Advent concert on 30 November 2025 at the Auditorio Stelio Molo of RSI in Lugano. In addition to the premiere of the multilingual commissioned piece by the SRG, the program will include other Christmas and winter songs as well as typical songs from the linguistic regions.

With 'Jeunes Talents Noël', the SRG is once again committed to young Swiss musical talents and strengthens cross-regional cohesion. The concert in Lugano will be broadcast nationwide on television and radio.
