The measures taken by TCS aim to maintain the usual level of service for the public while
simultaneously supporting the security and emergency deployments in the Canton. "As an organisation
in emergency services, TCS is obligated to respond to exceptional situations and ensure its services for
the public," explains Jürg Wittwer, General Director of TCS.
Strengthened Ambulance
Deployment
TCS Ambulance Genève has increased its staff by 30% for the duration of the
Summit. Thanks to this reinforcement, patients can be served with the same quality and response time
as throughout the rest of the year. At the same time, TCS Ambulance Genève is providing additional
security resources for the G7 Summit. The teams remain fully ready to respond to any eventualities and
contribute to public safety in a high-demand environment for emergency services.
Additional
Patrollers on Duty
TCS has also increased its patrol resources to ensure reliable breakdown
assistance for its members despite the expected traffic disruptions. TCS patrollers conduct around 100
operations daily in the Canton of Geneva.
Furthermore, TCS will support rescue organisations
by providing breakdown assistance and towing or evacuating vehicles as needed. This collaboration
helps maintain the operations of security and rescue interventions throughout the Summit duration.
ETI Assistance Remains Fully Operational
The ETI Assistance teams remain fully mobilised
to ensure the continuity of their services. They are available for the organisation of repatriations to
Switzerland, especially to Geneva, as well as for all other assistance requests requiring intervention
from abroad.
Thanks to the commitment of all employees, TCS is doing its utmost to ensure the
continuity of its services and accompany its members as best as possible during this large-scale
international event.
