05.03.2026, The Helsana Group achieves an annual result of CHF 357 million for the 2025 fiscal year. The premium volume increases to CHF 9 billion and the operating expense ratio improves again to 6.9%. Helsana gains customers in both basic and supplementary insurance in 2025. With equity capital rising to CHF 3.3 billion, the Helsana Group has a strong financial foundation and is well-prepared for future developments in the healthcare sector.

With an annual result of CHF 357 million, the positive trend of the Helsana Group continues. The technical result of the insurance is also satisfactory, with a profit of CHF 43 million. The premium volume increases to a total of CHF 9 billion in 2025. The combined ratio stands at 99.5% (previous year: 98.3%). Helsana settled claims amounting to CHF 8.4 billion for its customers in 2025. Thanks to cost management, the group's operating expense ratio improves again from 7.4% to 6.9%. This makes Helsana one of the most efficient health insurers in Switzerland. 'We are committed to keeping our operating costs as low as possible for our customers and designing our processes to be customer-friendly and effective,' emphasizes Roman Sonderegger, CEO of the Helsana Group.

Supplementary and Basic Insurance: good results, more customers. In the challenging supplementary insurance market, Helsana succeeded in increasing the premium volume and gaining more customers. Helsana Zusatzversicherungen AG achieved a technical profit with a combined ratio of 92.4%. In addition to the very profitable individual customer business, the daily sickness benefits business also contributed. Helsana Unfall AG remains profitable with a combined ratio of 97.3%.

In basic insurance, Helsana is well positioned regarding premiums for the year 2026 and has gained 69,000 new insured individuals. Roman Sonderegger notes: 'We have succeeded in growing in basic insurance, and particularly in supplementary insurance and corporate business, and gaining additional customers. We take this as an incentive to continually work on our service, products, and efficiency.'

Investing in Digitalisation and Future Topics. With the 'Securing Health for Life' strategy launched at the beginning of 2025, Helsana focuses on successfully continuing and steadily optimising its core business, namely the individual and corporate customer business. The acquisition of Adcubum, the leading provider of health and accident insurance software in Switzerland, serves this digitalisation goal. Other strategic objectives are customer appeal, employer attractiveness, and sustainability. In addition, Helsana is creating new services in the areas of 'Mental Health', 'Longevity', 'Familial Planning and Pregnancy', 'Independent Living and Housing', and 'Health Savings'.

Helsana stands on a strong financial foundation, impresses with high customer appeal, and with its new strategy and targeted investments - such as that in Adcubum - has laid important groundwork. Thus, Helsana is well-positioned for changes in society and the healthcare sector.
