Over 50% growth in three years and a turnover of 56 million francs
In 2025, Infomaniak achieved a turnover of 56 million Swiss francs. To continue this momentum and meet the growing demand for sovereign cloud and AI solutions, the company plans to invest 200 million francs in the coming years to expand its data centre infrastructure in Switzerland, enhance its artificial intelligence capabilities and recruit qualified professionals in engineering and R&D. These investments aim to strengthen Switzerland's position as a centre of excellence for sovereign cloud computing in Europe.
This growth is supported by all European markets, with particularly strong dynamics in Germany (+69%), in France and Belgium (+19% each), in Switzerland (+14%), and in Italy (+59%). The rest of the world also recorded a 24% increase, confirming Infomaniak's growing reach beyond its traditional markets.
In a geopolitical environment marked by the challenges of digital sovereignty, the resilience of critical infrastructures, and dependence on non-European hyperscalers, Infomaniak consolidates its position as a credible European solution that combines growth, independence, and end-to-end technological control with strong commitments in the areas of sustainability and data protection.
A governance expanding for scaling
The entire capital of Infomaniak is held by 10% of its employees. This participatory model guarantees strategic independence and the complete absence of any external influence on industrial and technological orientations.
Since its creation, Infomaniak has evolved with deliberately lean governance that favours short decision-making paths, high operational capacity, and a long-term industrial vision. Until now, its Board of Directors consisted of Boris Siegenthaler, founder and president, and Frank Guemara, an independent director.
Boris Siegenthaler, who retains the chairmanship of the board, has embodied Infomaniak's strategic vision and DNA for over thirty years: technological independence, local expertise, and sustainable commitment.
Alongside him, Frank Guemara has played a central role in the financial structuring of the company. As a certified public accountant EXPERTsuisse and managing partner of Triportail SA in Geneva, a recognised specialist in auditing, financial governance, business valuation and succession, he ensures accounting rigour, the solidity of internal control mechanisms, and risk management.
Tripling the workforce in seven years
In January 2019, Infomaniak had 105 employees. In January 2025, there were 256. At the beginning of March 2026, there are 316, with more than 80 new hires in less than a year.
This continuous increase reflects a real industrial and organisational scale shift, driven by the rise of sovereign cloud computing, artificial intelligence services, and collaborative solutions.
In this context of sustained growth and the acceleration of the European cloud market, Infomaniak adjusts the composition of its Board of Directors to anticipate the strategic, technological, and financial challenges of the coming years and to sustainably accompany scaling. The two new board members were unanimously appointed by the extraordinary general assembly.
Patricia Solioz Mathys joins the Board of Directors and is appointed Vice President. As General Director of Transports publics de la région lausannoise (tl) from 2020 to 2026 (a network with 133 million passengers and an organisation with 2,000 employees), she has extensive experience in leading complex organisations and large infrastructures. Previously, she held several management positions at the Services Industriels de Genève (SIG), where she served as Director Smart City after beginning her career at the consulting firm Arthur Andersen/BearingPoint. As a recognised specialist in institutional governance and stakeholder management, committed to ESG issues, she brings valuable expertise in dialogue with the public sector, large organisations, and regulated environments. Her appointment strengthens the formal structuring of the Board and its ability to accompany a strongly growing company within a demanding institutional framework.
Paul Such joins the Board of Directors. As a Swiss pioneer in cybersecurity, founder of SCRT in 2002 (now Orange Cyberdefense Switzerland) and Hacknowledge, current CEO of Swiss Post Cybersecurity, he brings over twenty years of entrepreneurial experience and top-notch technical expertise in securing critical infrastructures. Founder of the Insomni'hack conference and a member of the organising committee of Black Alps, lecturer at EPFL, universities of applied sciences and the University of Geneva, director of the Freiburg Cantonal Bank (FKB) since 2017, he strengthens Infomaniak's international credibility in data security and sovereign cloud computing. His addition also reinforces the cyber dimension and the ability to anticipate systemic threats.
A structure ready for acceleration
The
company now establishes itself as a structuring player in sovereign cloud computing in Switzerland
and Europe, serving public, financial, media, and industrial organisations. With this evolution, the
Board of Directors of Infomaniak now combines:
- The founding vision and strategic continuity,
- Proven financial and compliance expertise,
- Reference competence in cybersecurity,
- Confirmed competence in institutional governance and large infrastructures.
This structuring marks an important milestone in the company's development. It accompanies a phase of sustained expansion and prepares the next steps of industrial development.
Infomaniak is examining levers to accelerate its investments in cloud infrastructures and capabilities in artificial intelligence to meet growing European demand for sovereign solutions. Regardless of the growth of its funding, Infomaniak is committed to maintaining its strategic independence and upholding the principles that define its identity: local expertise, data protection, and ecological commitment.
The strengthening of the Board of Directors expresses a clear intent: to equip Infomaniak with governance that meets its role as an operator of critical digital infrastructures while reinforcing the foundations that have defined its uniqueness for over thirty years.
"Our aim is clear: to build a sovereign, independent, and sustainable European digital infrastructure, with a level of ambition comparable to the largest international players." - Boris Siegenthaler, Founder and Chairman of the Board.
