04.11.2026, As of January 1, 2027, the Komax Group implements another step of its reorientation.

With the reorientation initiated a few months ago, the Komax Group is laying the groundwork for future profitable growth. It aims to secure its position in the automotive industry while more strategically leveraging attractive growth opportunities in other markets. As of January 1, 2027, the Komax Group will simplify its organisational structure and align it more closely with respective markets and customer needs. The previous three Business Units (Solutions, Quality Solutions, and Market & Digital Services) will be replaced by two Business Segments: Automotive and Industrial & Transportation. These will assume comprehensive responsibility for product portfolio, product development, procurement, operations, as well as sales and service in their respective markets.

Reto Steiner becomes a new member of the Group Executive Team

Oliver Blauenstein, who has been a member of the Group Executive Team since 2023 and head of the Business Unit Quality Solutions, will now lead the Business Segment Automotive. Reto Steiner takes over the leadership of the Business Segment Industrial & Transportation and will become a member of the Group Executive Team. He has been with the Komax Group since September 2022, initially as Head of the Business Segment Products at Schleuniger and, since 2024, as Vice President Center of Competence Semi Automation. He is also the Managing Director of the Thun site in Switzerland. Reto Steiner is a certified mechanical engineer from the University of Applied Sciences Biel and holds a postgraduate degree in Supply Chain & Logistics and an Executive MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology in Washington, D.C. Before joining the Komax Group, Reto Steiner was Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Gilgen Door Systems AG for four and a half years. Prior to that, he worked at Comet AG for 16 years, starting his career as a development engineer and later taking on various leadership roles in production, supply chain, and operations.

Jürgen Hohnhaus, Executive Vice President BU Solutions, and Tobias Rölz, Executive Vice President BU Market & Digital Services, will leave the Group Executive Team by the end of 2026. In the first half of 2027, they will support and advance the implementation of the new organisational structure. "Jürgen Hohnhaus and Tobias Rölz have significantly shaped the further development of the Komax Group over the past seven and nine years, respectively, with great commitment. Among other things, they have made a substantial contribution to the successful integration of the Schleuniger Group and have played a crucial part in getting the Komax Group back on a growth trajectory. For this, I thank them on behalf of the Board of Directors and wish them all the best for the future," says Andreas Häberli, Chairman of the Board and CEO ad interim of the Komax Group.

Roger Albrecht will be the new CEO from January 1, 2027

As of January 1, 2027, the Group Executive Team will be reduced from five to four members. In addition to Oliver Blauenstein, EVP Automotive, Reto Steiner, EVP Industrial & Transportation, and Andreas Weibel, CFO ad interim, Roger Albrecht will also join the Group Executive Team. Upon joining, he will take on the CEO role from Chairman of the Board Andreas Häberli at the start of 2027. Since April 1, 2026, Häberli has held this role on an interim basis, ensuring the company's leadership during the transition phase and advancing its further development.
