The third generation of the Alpine A110 will be the world's first true all-electric sports car to be based on the new Alpine Performance Platform (APP). This allows the model to remain true to Alpine's DNA while surpassing the best current sports cars with combustion engines in terms of performance. At its worldwide public debut in Goodwood, visitors will be able to see the prototype— a vehicle used in test drives for the development of future technologies for the next generation— in action every day.
To celebrate the tradition and development of the legendary Alpine A110, the festival will showcase further groundbreaking models that trace the vehicle's development from rally icon to electric pioneer. These vehicles illuminate the Alpine history from past to present and into the future.
Based on a confident vision that combines sportiness with the brand's typical performance and emotion, Alpine is entering an exciting new phase in its history: more customers than ever before are choosing an Alpine. Two models from the current product range that have driven this growth will be present throughout the festival both on the track and at the stand: the all-electric hot hatch Alpine A290 (combined electricity consumption (kWh/100 km): 16.5-15.8; combined CO2 emissions (g/km): 0; CO2 class: A) and the Alpine A390 (Alpine A390: combined electricity consumption, the brand's latest 470-horsepower strong, five-seater sports fastback).
In addition to the vehicles, visitors can look forward to a five-member line-up from the BWT Alpine F1 Team: current race drivers Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto are joined by Alpine Academy members and reserve drivers Nina Gademan, Paul Aron, and Alex Dunne. The quintet will drive exclusive vehicles on all four days and meet fans at the Alpine stand.
Another highlight will be the 'Alpine Moment' on Thursday (9th July), during which the brand will celebrate the legacy of the Alpine A110 in the context of the 'Brand Parade'. Fans will witness the prototype of the third generation making its worldwide public debut alongside other groundbreaking A110 models that shape both the history and current model range of the brand. A demonstration run of the Formula 1 racing car E20 ensures an unforgettable conclusion.
Away from the racetrack, interactive simulators for the Alpine Active Torque Vectoring (AATV), daily talks and autograph sessions with the Alpine drivers, as well as DJ sets at midday await at the Alpine stand. The entire model range of the brand will also participate in the festival parade, providing visitors with further opportunities to experience the cars and drivers up close.
First held in 1993, the Goodwood Festival of Speed is the world's largest automotive 'garden party'. Every year, more than 600 cars and motorcycles from the entire history of automotive and motorsport ascend the hill, accompanied by many legendary personalities from the sport.
