On Friday, 30th January 2026, Marc Sway performed at the OKB.Eismond concert series in the Aula Cher in Sarnen. With his distinctive voice, captivating charisma, and ability to musically unite different cultures, he mesmerised the audience from the very first moment. Tickets for the event were exclusively available to clients of the Obwaldner Kantonalbank (OKB). 'For us, it's something very special to present such an impressive musician to the Obwaldner public,' said Margrit Koch, CEO of OKB.
Emotions, Colour, and Passion
Marc Sway epitomises emotions, colour, and passion on stage. Whether it's Soul, Pop, or Latin – his music fuses these genres into a soundscape that both touches and excites. After celebrated performances at the Baloise Session and the Montreux Jazz Festival, the Zurich native brought his energetic live show to Obwalden. Even beforehand, he was in high spirits: The journey to Sarnen felt like a 'homecoming' to him. He is often found at Melchsee-Frutt.
Music, Charm, and Humour
The concert offered top-notch entertainment: Marc Sway effortlessly thrilled the diverse audience – not only with his distinctive music but also with plenty of charm and humour. The band opened the evening with the well-known hit 'Beat Of My Heart' from 2019. By then, the audience was wide awake, singing along and clapping enthusiastically in rhythm. For an hour and a half, the eight-member band delivered a powerful performance. The captivating sound, the palpable joy of playing, and Sway’s stage presence made the evening an impressive live experience.
Numerous Helping Hands
Many helping hands ensured a thoroughly successful event. Members of OKB's sponsoring partner, the Sachseln Gospel Choir, ran a bar on site. Additionally, about 30 bank employees were on duty. They took care of the band’s needs, helped with setup and dismantling, controlled the tickets, or managed the cloakroom. Trainees in their third year guided the concert on social media as part of their training and conducted an interview with the artist.
Popular Concert Series
The concert by Marc Sway and his band was the ninth edition of the OKB.Eismond event series. In previous years, OKB has brought artists such as Joya Marleen, Oesch’s die Dritten, Seven, Kunz, and Bligg to the Obwaldner stage.
