Medbase Opens a New Medical Centre in Aigle, Expands Healthcare Services in Chablais

21.04.2026, On May 1, 2026, the Medbase Group is opening a new medical centre in the heart of the newly developed station district in Aigle. With its centrally located site directly opposite the station, Medbase is sustainably strengthening outpatient primary healthcare in the Chablais region.
Under the medical leadership of Dr Ioan Ciubotariu, currently working at Medbase Vevey, the medical team offers comprehensive general practice care for the population of Chablais. The team includes doctors and medical practice assistants, predominantly from the region, thereby highlighting Medbase's strong local roots.
The Medbase Aigle Chablais Medical Centre has ten consultation rooms, three treatment rooms, and its own laboratory. Patients are treated from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. by prior appointment.
With the opening of its fourth medical centre in the canton of Vaud, the Medbase Group is consistently advancing its development in the Romandy.
In the long term, the Aigle site is planned to gradually develop into an interdisciplinary medical centre. Additionally, the medical centre will closely collaborate with the Medbase Vevey site, which already offers various medical specialties.
In the medical centres, Medbase applies the managed care concept, where the general practitioner takes a central coordinating role. This care model promotes interprofessional collaboration and ensures coordinated, high-quality medical care.
