03.02.2026, At localsearch (Swisscom Directories AG), Mike Schärer took over as Chief Human Resources Officer on January 12, 2026, assuming leadership of the HR department. In this role, the 38-year-old has also become a part of the executive management team.
Mike Schärer brings several years of experience in international HR management: Before moving to localsearch, he worked for over 16 years at AXA XL, including more than five years as Head of HR and member of the Swiss leadership team. In this role, he was responsible for the entire HR and payroll organization at the business unit for property, liability, and specialty risks of the global insurance company AXA. Among his most significant achievements are managing several international reorganizations, harmonizing benefits, and establishing and overseeing an international staffing model.
He gained his international perspective through collaboration with teams in Europe and Asia. Leading culturally diverse teams and locally implementing global HR strategies are among his proven strengths. He holds a Master's degree in HR Management from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) (2019).
Since January 12, 2026, Mike Schärer has been part of the executive management team at localsearch as Chief Human Resources Officer and leads the HR department.
