MSD Switzerland Appoints Jasper Kunow as Interim Managing Director

03.11.2025, MSD Merck Sharp & Dohme AG (known as Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ, USA in the United States) announces today the appointment of Jasper Kunow as Interim Managing Director effective November 1, 2025. Mr. Kunow succeeds Dimitri Gitas, who will take on a new professional challenge outside of MSD.
Mr. Kunow will assume this role in addition to his current responsibilities as Managing Director for the subregion of Portugal and Central Europe, supported by MSD Switzerland's experienced management team. This interim solution ensures a smooth transition. The search for a permanent successor is underway and the corresponding announcement will be made in due course.
"Dimitri leaves behind an impressive legacy from his 21-year career at MSD, where he held key positions in Canada, the USA, Greece, Poland, and most recently in Switzerland," says Cyril Schiever, President of MSD's Mid-Europe Region.
