05.06.2026, Manuel Tumler succeeds Uwe Seegert and remains loyal to The Tschuggen Collection.

Since June 1, 2026, Manuel Tumler has been the Executive Chef for the Tschuggen Grand Hotel in Arosa, continuing his loyalty to the privately run Swiss hotel group, The Tschuggen Collection.

He is a chef and host out of passion. The native South Tyrolean was drawn to Switzerland quickly after his formative years at home. First, to Küsnacht by Lake Zurich, and then only a few months later, in December 2020, he met his future mentor and head chef, Salvatore Frequente, at the Hotel Giardino Mountain in Champfer. He then followed him to Giardino Ascona as well as to Guarda Val in Lenzerheide. Since June 2023, he has supported Salvatore Frequente in various roles within the Tschuggen Collection, both at the Hotel Eden Roc in Ascona and at the Carlton Hotel St. Moritz, and has been serving as Executive Sous Chef for both houses since November 2024.

Now, Manuel Tumler moves from Lake Maggiore and the Engadin to Schanfigg, where he will take over as Executive Chef and lead the main kitchen of the Tschuggen Grand Hotel. Alongside Marco Campanella, who has been awarded 2 Michelin stars and 19 Gault Millau points, he will be responsible for the culinary direction of the Tschuggen Collection’s eponymous house.

Manuel Tumler succeeds Uwe Seegert, who was primarily responsible for the culinary excellence at the Tschuggen Grand Hotel for 15 years. "We are delighted to have a passionate and highly talented professional like Manuel Tumler at the Tschuggen Grand Hotel, who has been accompanying the Tschuggen Collection for several years and shares our pursuit of the highest quality and our commitment to sustainability," said Silvana and Ingo Schlösser, hotel management at the Tschuggen Grand Hotel.
