06.05.2026, Zurich () - Flexing its electric muscles: 207 kW (281 PS) and 345 Nm of torque. No other series Opel accelerates faster: From 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds[1]. Hot, hotter, hot hatch design: GSE-front and - rear, 18-inch wheels, Alcon high-performance braking system, performance seats, yellow seatbelts, digital displays with performance indicators and much more. Back to the future: Corsa GSE revives the tradition of sporty Corsa models to new life.

The new all-electric competition vehicle Opel Mokka GSE Rally, the everyday sports car Opel Mokka GSE, and the breathtaking high-performance study Opel Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo: 2025 marks the rebirth of the highly dynamic GSE models. In 2026, Opel will further expand the electrifying driving pleasure for everyone - with the new Opel Corsa GSE1. The new high- performance variant of the small car icon brings the sporty GSi genes of the first Corsa generation into the future - vibrant, exciting, and all-electric. The most powerful series Corsa of all time to date will be launched this year, making its exhibition debut at the Paris Motor Show in October. Its camouflage is already falling: Today, Opel presents the first official images of the new 'hot hatch'.

High-Performance Model Corsa GSE: Small Car in High-Performance Mode

The Opel Corsa GSE revives the sporty ambitions of earlier Corsa generations. Even the Corsa A thrilled fans of highly dynamic small cars who want to feel driving pleasure and performance at the wheel themselves. A car that caused a sensation in the community. With the new Corsa GSE, Opel returns to the market of genuine 'hot hatches', charging it with even more emotions, excitement, performance, and all-electric driving pleasure. Because that's what GSE stands for: Grand Sport Electric!

Opel has already shown that battery-electric peak performance should not be reserved only for luxury segment customers with the introduction of the Mokka GSE last year. And just as much as the new Corsa GSE sets with its performance figures more than an exclamation mark. Thus, the newcomer will offer as much electric power as the current 'Golden Steering Wheel'[2] titleholder Mokka GSE with 207 kW (281 PS) and 345 Newton meters. At the same time, the Corsa GSE will be a measure more dynamic. With acceleration of just 5.5 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h1, the high- performance Corsa pushes its driver into the GSE sports seat as vehemently as no other current Opel series model. Only at 180 km/h1 does he finally reach his speed limit.

Corsa GSE drivers can choose from three different driving modes: In sport mode, the electric car is tuned to pure performance and calls up the full power with its special 'racetrack'-optimized calibration; in normal mode with 170 kW (231 PS) and sporty tuning, up to 180 km/h1 top speed is also possible, and in 'eco' mode, all settings are adjusted for maximum efficiency; here the maximum speed is 150 km/h1. The energy is stored in the new Corsa GSE by a 54 kWh lithium-ion battery (51 kWh usable capacity). To ensure reliable sporty driving pleasure at all times, the engineers have also adapted the battery's thermal management system to the high GSE requirements.

The sophisticated technology also contributes to extraordinary performance, handling stability, and direct feedback: The Corsa GSE features front-wheel drive with a Torsen differential lock, as well as a lowered sport chassis with specifically designed axles, stabilizers, and hydraulic shock absorbers. A GSE-optimized steering and pedal tuning underscores the highly dynamic driving experience. And, if necessary, four- piston performance brakes confidently step in to ensure immediate deceleration from high speeds.

Corsa GSE Design with Wow Effect: Hot Everyday Sports Car at First Sight

The new Corsa GSE confidently displays its performance on the outside. While even the known variants of the current Corsa generation are dynamically cut, the 'hot hatch' emphasizes its high-performance claim optically down to the details. The GSE-specific front bumper immediately catches the eye. It is even sharper shaped than other model variants, including optical 'air intakes' and black cladding on the lower vehicle area and the widely spaced wheel arches, contrasting with the contour white shimmering paint. The black roof and the black rear spoiler reinforce this effect.

With sporty 18-inch wheels - more precisely: Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 215/40 R18 tires - the new Corsa GSE stands uncompromisingly on the road. Under the strikingly designed rims in a three-spoke design, the Alcon brake calipers with clearly visible GSE lettering become the eye-catcher. This high-performance look is additionally emphasized by the specific GSE badge on the sides of the vehicle.

Corsa GSE Interior: Modern Interpretation of the Classic Opel Hot Hatch Style

The sharp GSE design is equally reflected in the interior. Here, the 'hot hatch' idea is brought to life anew - as a reminiscence of the sporty models from the Corsa A generation, at the same time modern and forward-looking. The driver and front passenger take a seat on performance seats with Alcantara appliques and integrated headrests, the black-grey-yellow plaid pattern evokes memories. Bright yellow seat belts form a strong contrast. The Alcantara-covered steering wheel, door trims, armrests with yellow stitching, and the instrument panel with GSE logo on a silver-grey background transmit visible quality. Acceleration and braking commands are executed over the aluminum sport pedals. Further specific interior decors for the Corsa GSE complement the offer.

The necessary information is transmitted to the driver by the extensively customizable digital driver info display and the central 10-inch color touchscreen. This keeps GSE performance data, G-force display, acceleration values, battery management data, and much more ready. The displays are also designed in the typical GSE style. Thus, the new Corsa GSE stands out internally and externally with a technically high-quality and highly dynamic design down to the smallest detail.

Moreover, the Corsa GSE is equipped with numerous technology and comfort details, as high-quality as it is practical. The repertoire includes features such as heated seats and steering wheel, 180-degree rear- view camera, and the keyless entry & start system to the bidirectional onboard charger (V2L), through which the everyday sports car can not only be charged but also external devices from the e-bike to the electric grill can be directly supplied with energy from the vehicle battery.

All this shows: The new Corsa GSE is not just a car that simply takes fans from A to B. It is an all-electric and simultaneously practical 'hot hatch', touching the soul and evoking a real OMG! GSE feeling. More information about the new Opel Corsa GSE will follow shortly.
