The Central Swiss Sports Festival will turn Sarnen into a hub of movement, community, and entertainment in mid-June 2026. The organizing committee anticipates more than 2,000 gymnasts from across Switzerland. With a diverse range of competitions, numerous participation opportunities, and an attractive supporting programme, the sports festival becomes an event for all generations. It will take place on the premises of the Kantonsschule Obwalden and the regional sports facility Seefeld, and will stand under the motto 'Fyyr & Flammä'.
An event of this magnitude relies on many volunteers and strong, regionally rooted partners like the Obwaldner Kantonalbank, committed as the main sponsor. 'Thanks to this support, we can stage a sports festival that will be an unforgettable experience for both participants and the public,' says Christian Schäli, the festival president.

As the bank of the people of Obwalden, OKB supports clubs, events, and projects that strengthen social
life in the canton, promote movement, and bring people together. 'The sports festival reflects the same
values we, as OKB, aim to promote. It perfectly matches our commitment to a vibrant and attractive
region,' says Margrit Koch, CEO of OKB. The bank not only supports the festival financially, but will also
contribute on site to ensure a successful weekend. OKB will have a stand and organise an attractive
children's programme on Saturday at the Zinsli playground in Seefeld. 'Our Zinsli is already looking
forward to the children and their smiling faces,' says Margrit Koch.

Founded in 1886, the Obwaldner Kantonalbank (OKB) is the leading bank in the canton of Obwalden. As a universal bank, it offers private individuals, companies, and the public sector all services of a retail bank. Close proximity to customers and personal service are important to it. Around 65% of the Obwalden population and more than 70% of all Obwalden companies maintain a business relationship with it, which is a great expression of trust. In return, it is heavily committed to the economic development of the region and supports numerous clubs and projects through sponsorship.
In all its actions, it strives for win-win-win situations, aiming to create added value for the customer, employees, and the bank itself to ensure sustainable success.
