Online Retail in Switzerland Grows to 15.8 Billion Francs - Trust in Online Shopping Gains Importance

Domestic sales by Swiss online retailers amounted to around 13 billion francs, while approximately 2.8 billion francs were spent on foreign online platforms. Despite continued growth, competition with international providers remains a challenge for many Swiss retailers.

Practical example: Zurich supplier receives quality label. A current example is Zurich online shop Silbervreneli.ch, which now carries the Swiss Online Guarantee seal.

"Trust plays a crucial role, especially when purchasing precious metals or collector's coins online. With the Swiss Online Guarantee label, we want to show our customers that they are ordering from a verified Swiss supplier," says André Rauch, CEO of Triple A GmbH.

The online shop offers silver coins related to Swiss coin tradition. The design is based on the historical motif of the Goldvreneli, which has been among Switzerland's most famous coin images for over a century.

Precious metal products remain in demand. In addition to classic precious metal investments, many buyers are also interested in collectible coins made of gold or silver, which combine material value with cultural and historical significance.

Silver coins with ties to Swiss monetary history are therefore often chosen not only as investment products but also as gifts for special occasions—such as anniversaries, retirements, births, or milestone birthdays.
