Pro Senectute aims to break its own world record with SUISSE DISCO 60+

09.02.2026, Following the successful world record disco during the Eurovision Song Contest in May 2025 in Basel, Pro Senectute continues the format: On 12 September 2026, the next national over-60 party will be held with SUISSE DISCO 60+. With the event in Zurich, Pro Senectute aims to break its own world record for the largest disco for 60+. Ticket pre-sales start today at 07:00.
On 3 May 2025, shortly before 18:00, Paul McCartney's voice kicked off the final song of the ESC Disco 60+ with 'Hey Jude.' Once again, over a thousand party-loving seniors sang along loudly and swung their arms synchronously from left to right. The positive feedback encouraged Pro Senectute to continue the format: In 2026, Pro Senectute Switzerland, in collaboration with Pro Senectute Canton Zurich, is organizing another national over-60 party. 'Pro Senectute is committed to promoting movement, social participation, and zest for life in advanced age with the SUISSE DISCO 60+' says Alain Huber, Director of Pro Senectute Switzerland.
'Zurich Calling'
The SUISSE DISCO 60+ will take place in 2026 at THE HALL in Dübendorf/Zurich. 'The over-60 dance events, already offered by Pro Senectute Canton Zurich, are very popular. We are very pleased to carry this enthusiasm for music, movement, and encounters nationwide with the SUISSE DISCO 60+,' says Véronique Tischhauser-Ducrot, Chairwoman of the Executive Board of Pro Senectute Canton Zurich.
The event on Saturday, 12 September 2026, starts at 14:00 and lasts until 20:00. Under the disco motto 'United on the dancefloor,' Pro Senectute intends to beat its own world record for the largest over-60 disco with the SUISSE DISCO 60+. Partygoers are invited to dance again to music from the 60s to the 90s. Attendees can also expect a program with prominent guests as well as catering offers.
'Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!'
Two ticket categories are available:
- Ticket 60+: Single ticket for 21 francs. The price includes admission and access to the program. - Ticket DUO+: Combo ticket for 49 francs. Included are two admissions, access to the program, and two free welcome drinks. With the combo ticket, one of the two persons can be under 60 years old.
