“Even in the digital age, we remain committed to our physical locations and are continuing to invest in the future through this renovation. We are creating a contemporary environment that is optimally geared to the needs of our customers,” explains Rico Weber, Head of Private and Corporate Customers and Member of the Executive Board of NKB. The plan includes a personally attended reception desk, a spacious 24-hour self-service area, and consultation rooms for individual and discreet discussions.
From Monday, 3rd November 2025 until the end of June 2026, the Hergiswil branch will remain closed. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. During the renovation period, our customers will have access to various alternatives. For general transactions, the Stansstad branch, the headquarters in Stans, or other NKB branches may be used. Cash deposits in notes and coins are also conveniently possible there. For questions about E-Banking, Mobile Banking App, or TWINT, our Digital Banking Consultation is available to customers.
Cash deposits in Swiss Francs and cash withdrawals in Swiss Francs and Euros are still possible around the clock at the ATMs outside the Hergiswil branch. Access to the safety deposit boxes is available by appointment (at 041 619 22 22) every Friday from 14:00 to 16:30. The secure deposit box/night safe can also be used without restriction during the renovation phase. The Hergiswil branch team will conduct consultations during this time at the headquarters in Stans or, by arrangement, on site with our customers.
“We thank our customers for their understanding and look forward to welcoming them to the newly designed branch in the summer of 2026,” says Rico Weber.
Hergiswil Branch under New Management from 2026
The redesign of the branch also involves a change in leadership: From 1st January 2026, Annina Gisler will take over the management of the Hergiswil branch. She succeeds Mario Schaub, who has successfully managed the branch since 2018 and has also been responsible for the North Region, including the Hergiswil, Stansstad, and Stans locations, since 2023.
“We have found a dedicated and well-connected successor from within our own ranks in Annina Gisler. She will shape and continue to develop the new appearance of the Hergiswil branch,” says Rico Weber.
Mario Schaub will move his official workplace to the headquarters in Stans. There, he will focus even more on the further development of the entire region, particularly on the implementation of projects, the acquisition of new customers, and the promotion of employees. He will remain regularly present in Hergiswil and Stansstad to ensure direct communication with the teams.
