The B Corp(TM) certification is awarded and managed by the global non-profit organization B Lab (represented in Switzerland by B Lab Switzerland) to companies that meet high standards in social and environmental performance, transparency, and responsible corporate governance. Compliance with these standards is verified by an independent third party.
"The renewed B Corp(TM) certification is a strong signal for us," says Jenny Kunz, Director Sustainability. "It shows that we are on track and have always taken responsibility in a dynamic environment, consistently following our path instead of waiting."
The recertification sets particularly high demands: companies must regularly check and prove that they improve their performance and meet strict criteria according to B Lab standards. Since the last certification, Ricola has demonstrated progress in areas such as sustainable raw material sourcing, climate protection and environment, employee well-being as well as governance structures.
Since its founding, Ricola has been committed to sustainable values - from working with local mountain farmers for herb cultivation to investing in responsible sugar beet farming with IP-Suisse. As a B Corp(TM), the company is committed to aligning economic success with social and ecological responsibility.
With the successful recertification, Ricola strengthens its position as a pioneer for sustainable business - both in Switzerland and internationally.
