In ski resorts, car parks often resemble a single expanse of white, and charging cables lying on the ground disappear under the snow after a snowfall. During clearance, they are easily overlooked and can be caught and damaged by snow blowers – leading to downtime and repair costs for operators.

Thoughtful design for demanding environments

The new spring-loaded cable management for the JUICE CHARGER me 3 provides a reliable solution. A spring-loaded guide arm at its base extends approximately 120 cm beyond the charging station, keeping the five-meter cable controlled at an ergonomic operating height. A spiral guide at the upper end enables friction-free movement in all directions, allowing the cable to remain flexible without chafing on sharp edges or getting stuck.

Even when the full length is needed, the cable can be easily moved towards the vehicle thanks to the stainless steel spring, and there is no excessive strain on the plugged Type 2 charging plug. After the charging process, the flexible spring construction automatically realigns and returns the cable to its original position.

Thus, the charging cable is kept cleanly off the ground, instead of potentially being twisted and lying in a place where it could be snowed under, driven over, or become a tripping hazard. There is no risk of vehicles or tow bars getting caught on the cable. On open car parks, snow clearance vehicles can operate without restrictions and without risk of accidentally capturing and damaging the cable. In underground car parks, cleaning machines can also pass through unhindered. At the same time, the upright mount enhances the visibility of the charging station.

Weatherproof and vandal-resistant

While traditional cable reels and swivel arms require mounting on walls or ceilings and quickly reach their limits in outdoor environments, the spring-based cable management can be mounted free-standing on charging columns or on walls or ceilings and remains fully functional.

In contrast to enclosed cable rollers or mechanisms with movable plastic parts used by competitors, the stainless steel and aluminum design is fully weather-resistant: water cannot penetrate, freeze, and block components. The concept also overcomes the weaknesses of swivel arms, which are often damaged because they simply do not withstand everyday stresses – including occasional misuse as a children's swing. The design, made from high-quality materials, is almost indestructible: there is no complex mechanism that could wear out or break. The robust construction is resistant to vandalism and thus also suitable for high-traffic locations.

Flexible mounting options

The holder is available as original accessory for the JUICE CHARGER me 3 and can be mounted individually or in pairs on the charger base. Alternatively, a spacer included in the set allows wall mounting. Thus, the solution is suitable for open parking areas as well as underground car parks or commercial locations.
