Close-up, opinionated, and multimedia. From February 2027, SRF 'Arena' host Sandro Brotz will join Blick. In his new role, Brotz will delve behind the scenes of politics, business, and society with his own video podcast. He will analyze the key topics that move Switzerland and the world several times a week. Brotz takes the audience wherever debates arise, posing the relevant—and especially uncomfortable—questions to the most important personalities and decision-makers.
The award- winning journalist probes further where others stop—direct, persistent, yet always on an equal footing. The format is conceived as a multimedia video podcast: episodes will be broadcast on all Blick channels and optimized for all common podcast, social media, and video platforms.

Sandro Brotz began his journalistic career in 1988 and in the following years worked as a reporter, news chief, and deputy editor-in-chief at SonntagsBlick and as editor-in-chief at Radio 1. In 2012, he joined SRF, where he served as moderator and deputy editorial director of Rundschau and since 2019 as the anchorman of 'Arena', becoming one of the most distinguished political journalists in the country. In 2022, the Zurich native was honored as 'Political Journalist of the Year' for his work.
