Betty Bossi has appointed Sebastian Jacobs, an experienced expert in marketing and reader markets, as the new Publishing Director. Jacobs has been responsible since November 2025 for print and digital subscriptions as well as the advertising market of Betty Bossi media.
The 46-year-old industry professional in B2B and B2C marketing brings extensive experience in building customer loyalty, community engagement, and brand partnerships. He has been involved for many years with the digital transformation of media companies. With a focus on personalised customer engagement, new distribution channels, and data-driven processes, he has contributed to making regional media companies fit for the future.
Brand Campaign Focusing on Young Audiences
With the film "Hello Betty," the brand is currently experiencing a significant boost in attention. "The film is a stroke of luck for us," says Jacobs. "It tells our story and values and makes Betty Bossi relevant to Generations Y and Z."
Parallel to the film premiere, the company is launching a comprehensive digital brand campaign aimed specifically at these younger audiences. "With this, we are also opening doors for advertising partners to a digitally savvy, affluent community with a high affinity for food and lifestyle."
Credibility as the Strongest Asset
Jacobs sees the strength of Betty Bossi clearly in the brand's credibility: "Betty Bossi is Switzerland’s first food influencer. The trust of our community is our strongest asset – and it transfers directly to brands that are present in our environments." With the million-strong reach of Betty Bossi newspaper, recipe platform, social media, and newsletter, Betty Bossi offers an attractive advertising environment with deep impact.
The company also aims to remain in the conversation in 2026. It is celebrating its 70th anniversary with a year-long Happy Birthday campaign. Additionally, it is launching a live cooking show at DASZELT in the format of a 'cooking and dining spectacle,' which will make stops in five cities and is also suitable for client and team events.
