Switzerland is entering with 42 competitors in 38 skills.
For the 42 young professional talents, the competition of a lifetime awaits! They will represent Switzerland at the WorldSkills in Shanghai, China, not only representing their country but also their professions and their passion. They will compete in a total of 38 skills, including Floristry, Cyber Security, Automobile Mechatronics, Polymechanics, Fashion Design, and Hotel Reception, with a total of 64 competitions on the schedule. Among the Swiss competitors are six young talents from Northwestern Switzerland. The WorldSkills are considered the largest international comparison in the field of vocational education, bringing together around 1,400 participants from over 60 countries. For Switzerland, this is a unique opportunity to showcase the strength of the dual education system internationally and highlight emerging professional talents.
These are the six Northwestern Swiss talents in the SwissSkills National Team:

Intensive Preparation for International Competition
Until the international competition in September, the young professionals will undergo an intensive training program. In the coming months, supported by their experts, professional associations, employers, and team leaders, they will invest about 1,000 hours in their preparation. In addition to technical perfection, the focus is on mental strength, team spirit, and perseverance. Several joint weekends further strengthen team cohesion. The goal is clear: Switzerland aims to be among the most successful nations in Shanghai and to retain the title as the best European country.
