How the Voting for Sportswoman and Sportsman of the Year Works

The election committee, consisting of Swiss Olympic, the Athletes Commission of Swiss Olympic, Sportpress.ch and the SRG, initially shortlisted 15 candidates each. All pre-selected athletes achieved outstanding performances within the relevant time period from 1 November 2024 to 31 October 2025. To determine the top six for the live show, top athletes from Swiss Olympic as well as Swiss sports media and Sportpress.ch cast their votes. The final result is composed of one-third each from the voting results of the media, the top athletes, and the televoting.
