20.05.2026, Bern/Zürich - SRG and SFV extend their successful contractual partnership for live and highlight rights of key national and international competitions. The focus is on Swiss women's football with the Women's Super League and the A-national team, as well as the Swiss Men's Cup. Thanks to an agreement via the EBU - to which SRG belongs - with FIFA, the 2027 Women's World Cup will also be broadcasted on SRG’s channels and stations.

With the contract extension, SRG and the Swiss Football Association (SFV) reaffirm their joint commitment to the sustainable development of women's football. Both the Women's Super League and the women's cup have significantly gained visibility in recent years, not least thanks to SRG's continuous coverage. RTS, RSI, and SRF continue this comprehensive reporting with regular live matches, news, and highlights. The women's national teams have also contributed to the upswing in Swiss women's football in recent years.

Thanks to the contract extension with the SFV, the home games of the women's A-national team as well as other women's and men's U-national teams, including U-21, will also remain part of SRG's extensive football coverage. An agreement between the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and the world football association FIFA also enables SRG, as an EBU member, to provide comprehensive coverage of the 2027 World Cup in Brazil.

"A strong sign towards our audience"

The Swiss Men's Cup will also continue to be followed from the first round on SRG’s channels and platforms with extensive live and highlight coverage thanks to the contract extension with SFV. "The contract extension with SFV underscores SRG’s long-term commitment to Swiss football, especially also in women's football. National and international football in Switzerland, both women's and men's, remains an important part of our broad sports offering. This is a strong sign towards our audience," says Roland Mägerle, Head of Sport SRF and Business Unit Sport SRG. With the contract extension, SRG completes its offering around Swiss football for the coming years.

SRG holds the broadcasting rights to the Super League and the men's A-national team thanks to existing agreements with the Swiss Football League (SFL) and UEFA respectively.
