Stéphane Schneider (1967), a Swiss-French dual citizen, brings over 30 years of leadership experience in internationally operating construction, energy, and service groups. From 2018 to 2023, he led Bouygues Energies & Services in Switzerland, Italy, and Austria as CEO and Delegate of the Board of Directors - a holding with around 5,000 employees. Today, he holds board mandates at GreenYellow, Gide, and Arep and runs his consultancy Alpina Swiss Consulting.
"What I contribute is the perspective on the risks during a growth and acquisition phase like ours - and the experience of consistently supporting a strategic plan over the years," says Stéphane Schneider.
B+G Schweiz is pursuing an ambitious growth course - driven by organic growth and one to two targeted acquisitions per year. Schneider's experience in managing holding structures and his proven M&A expertise are particularly valuable. As an entrepreneur who grew up bilingual in Alsace and resides in Switzerland, he also embodies the bridge between Romandy and German-speaking Switzerland.
"With Stéphane Schneider, we gain a sparring partner for our management team who knows project business from personal experience and knows exactly what it means to bring together several strong companies under one roof without losing their entrepreneurial spirit. This balance is what we want to live at B+G," explains Carsten Bopp, CEO of B+G Schweiz AG.
Stéphane Schneider sees a meaningful continuation of his path in his new role: "What fascinates me particularly is that we are creating places of power that shape quality life. I am looking forward to guiding B+G to its next bloom."
Adaptation of the Board of Directors
Werner Schnorf has shaped the B+G Schweiz project from the very beginning. Under his leadership, various local businesses have become a group that learns from each other and develops together - supported by entrepreneurs who are strong in their field and fit the group on a personal level. B+G Schweiz thanks Werner Schnorf for his great commitment and his intuition for who is needed to build something lasting.
Alongside Stéphane Schneider, the general meeting also elected Philippe Knüsel to the Board of Directors of B+G Schweiz AG. Philippe Knüsel is Managing/Senior Director and Co-Head of Private Equity at Patrimonium Asset Management AG in Zurich. Previously, he was, among others, CFO and Deputy CEO at Chocolat Frey AG and Delica AG (Migros Industry) as well as Vice President of Finance and Transformation Management at Kuoni Reisen. With Philippe Knüsel, the Board of Directors strengthens its profile with proven expertise in private equity, M&A, and strategic and financial leadership of medium-sized companies.
