The SUISA Board has arranged the succession of Irène Philipp Ziebold. Claudia Kempf and Toni Falzetta will join the Executive Board of the Cooperative Society of Authors and Publishers of Music as of 1 January 2027. With this decision, the board has opted for two internal leaders with proven industry expertise.
Two internal personalities with extensive experience
Claudia Kempf worked as a production manager and assistant director in film production following her studies in sociology and anthropology. She completed a degree in cultural and media management while working. In 1999, she took on various roles within SUISA and has led the 'Members' department since 2011. Additionally, she has been actively involved in various capacities within the Swiss music industry, including as a founding member of Swiss Music Export and until 2018 as a board member of mxLab AG (mx3).
Toni Falzetta studied business administration and holds a Master of Advanced Studies in pop and rock music. In 2023, he transitioned from the financial sector, where he held a leadership position, to SUISA. Since then, he has led the 'Event Licensing' department, responsible for licensing live events. As a musician and producer for national and international acts, he also brings many years of practical experience from the music industry.
'I am very pleased with the appointment of Claudia Kempf and Toni Falzetta to SUISA's Executive Board,' says Xavier Dayer, President of SUISA. 'Both bring significant experience from within SUISA and the music industry. I am confident that SUISA's Executive Board is excellently positioned for future challenges.'
The 'Operations' department will be divided into 'Members' and 'Clients'
With the new appointments, SUISA is adjusting its organizational structure. The previous 'Operations' department will be split into two areas. Claudia Kempf will oversee the 'Members' division, and Toni Falzetta will manage the 'Clients' division.
Irène Philipp Ziebold will retire at the end of 2026 after more than 38 years at SUISA. From 2010, she was a member of the Executive Board, leading the 'Members' department, and from 2019 the newly created 'Operations' department.
Future Executive Board of SUISA
From January 2027, SUISA's Executive Board will comprise the current members Andreas Wegelin, CEO, and Vincent Salvadé, Deputy CEO, along with the two new members Claudia Kempf and Toni Falzetta. Andreas Wegelin and Vincent Salvadé are set to retire in 2027 and 2028, respectively. The process for arranging the CEO succession will begin in April 2026.
