Expansion of Local Media Offerings
With the acquisition, Superlocal GmbH further expands its position in the local and regional media market. The company already includes the well-established news portal zueriunterland24.ch, and from January 2027, the news portal and newspaper Kloten24 and Kloten24.ch.
The four additional publications ideally complement the existing portfolio and strengthen local reporting in key and dynamically developing regions of the Canton of Zurich.
Continuity for Editorial Teams and Sales
A central concern of the acquisition is continuity. All responsible editors and sales staff will be retained, ensuring the preservation of local expertise, proximity to communities, and well-established relationships with readers, advertisers, and authorities.
Superlocal GmbH is acquiring the four newspaper titles from Zürcher Lokalinfo AG, which is withdrawing from the media business after several decades of service to local journalism.

Superlocal GmbH is led by entrepreneur Peter Wick. As managing director, he bears the overall operational responsibility for the company.
