13.08.2026, Zürich - Shortly after its official market entry, the Zurich startup nextesy has already garnered over 2,000 customers. According to the company, the main drivers are specific product advantages that have not been seen in the Swiss market in this form before.

nextesy, a startup rooted in the ETH and HSG ecosystems, announces surpassing the mark of 2,000 active clients for its AI platform dedicated to business administration for freelancers, startups, SMEs, and trustees.

Growth attributed to the product

"We are pleased with the high demand, especially since it can be partly attributed directly to certain features that we have consistently developed with an AI-first approach," says Dr. Milan Kuzmanovic, Chief AI Officer of nextesy. The company worked on the technology for two years in stealth mode before going public at the end of April 2026.

Three functions are frequently mentioned by customers: - AI booking accuracy of around 98%: The integrated AI enables accounting with significantly less manual post-processing effort than comparable solutions. The system automates all steps, from classification and renaming of documents to the extraction of all relevant information and matching transactions, actual bookkeeping, and archiving.

- WhatsApp integration including automated AI document processing for accounting: Documents can be submitted directly via WhatsApp, without any portal, app, or additional login. Unique in the Swiss market: deeply integrated and end-to-end automated through to filing.

- Global full-text search across all modules: All platform content is searchable, from documents and accounting to contacts and bank transactions to settings. Such a comprehensive cross-module search is not yet found in Swiss competitor products.

"These points partly come from direct customer feedback and address specific, everyday problems. This probably explains a good part of the demand," Kuzmanovic continues.

Scaling as the next step

CCO Rouven Mayer views the current task with pragmatic clarity: "It's now about building the infrastructure to grow with the customer base without compromising quality."

There is particularly high acceptance among sole traders and freelancers: the automation of administrative tasks noticeably frees up time for core business activities. The platform is also met with great enthusiasm among trustees: they particularly appreciate how reliably AI-supported automation takes repetitive booking work off their hands, creating space for advising their clients. For nextesy, this confirms that the Swiss market is ready for tools that significantly simplify administrative processes through AI.
