22.04.2026, Sympany looks back on another successful business year. The company stands financially strengthened and is well-positioned for the future both strategically and organisationally.

Sympany concludes the 2025 financial year with a profit of CHF 30.1 million and equity of CHF 425 million. At the same time, the combined ratio and solvency ratio have further improved. Key to this favourable result were the cost-covering premiums, efficient claims cost management, comprehensive invoice checks, and the again decreased administrative cost ratio. In addition, the capital investments yielded good returns.

The total premium volume amounts to CHF 1.41 billion, while net benefits are at CHF 1.18 billion. The technical result improved to CHF 7.4 million. In the basic insurance, the result is mainly diminished by the significantly higher contributions to the risk adjustment, which doubled compared to the previous year due to the large customer growth by 2025 and the consequently changed insured structure. The combined ratio of the Sympany Group stands at a pleasing 99.5%.

As of January 1, 2026, around 267,300 customers are insured with Sympany under the basic insurance per KVG (previous year: 276,200). After the extraordinary high growth the previous year, the decline is within the expected range. The Sympany basic insurance for cross-border commuters gained about 3,700 insured persons. Sympany is not only the price leader in this area but also the provider with the most experience. In the corporate client business with loss of earnings and accident insurance for SMEs, profitability improved again in 2025. Growth targets were also exceeded, and new customer acquisition developed favourably.

Well positioned for the future

With a clear focus on efficiency, Sympany was able to increase profit compared to the previous year and optimise important key figures. Christian Conti, CEO, says: "Sympany is well positioned strategically and organisationally as well. As of March 2026, the customer retention division has been created, giving more weight to customer care and retention." Further organisational adjustments take into account changes in the management, including two impending retirements in 2026 and 2027. With these forward-looking developments, Sympany lays the foundation for the successful implementation of its strategy.
