Shop now in the St. Johann quarter
From mid-August 2026, the popular shop will open a second location at St. Johanns-Vorstadt 38 in Basel – in a retail space overlooking the Rhine that was home to the Grimsel Concept Store until recently. The range remains familiar: a curated place for delightful everyday items featuring Tanja Grandits' proprietary products, tableware, design and kitchen products, ceramics by Esther Spychiger, cushions by Pascale Wiedemann, cosmetics by Susanne Kaufmann, and much more. The existing shop at Bruderholzallee is expected to remain open until the end of September 2026. Whether the new location in the St. Johann quarter will serve as an interim or a long-term addition remains deliberately open to Tanja Grandits.
The Restaurant Stucki moves to the Rhypark
There is also a solution for the restaurant during the renovation: from February 1, 2027, Tanja Grandits and her team will cook at Rhypark, in the premises of the former restaurant Roots by Pascal Steffen (18 Gault&Millau points, two Michelin stars). Rhypark offers space for 40 to 50 guests, comparable to the 'Stucki', and will be furnished with the existing inventory from Restaurant Stucki. The team remains on board and moves with the new locations. Tanja Grandits comments: 'The people in our team significantly shape the experience our guests have with us. I am all the more pleased that we are taking this journey together and moving into the new locations as a team.'
This results in an ideal interim use for Tanja Grandits and her team: Rhypark remains an event location and will be specifically supplemented during the interim phase, as it is booked for the 'Rhypark Dinner Show' until mid-January 2027 and again from November 2027.
The culinary concept will continue with the same ambitions and joy, albeit in a slightly adapted format: instead of the usual 9-course menu, a 6-course menu will be served. The operation at Rhypark is planned to last until November 2027.
Updated schedule for Restaurant Stucki at Bruderholz
The last few months at the traditional location are planned as follows: until the end of June 2026, Restaurant Stucki will operate as usual. In July, August, and September, the restaurant will be open evenings only, as well as Saturday lunchtime. On September 26, 2026, Restaurant Stucki will close its doors at Bruderholz, before construction begins. The reopening is scheduled for November 2027. 'We are very pleased to have found wonderful interim solutions for both the shop and the restaurant. This means we can stay close to our guests during the construction phase. The move to the Rhine is an exciting new chapter for all of us,' says Tanja Grandits.
Restaurant Schlüssel remains open
Tanja Grandits' second restaurant, Restaurant Schlüssel in Oberwil BL, is not affected by the construction and remains open as usual.
Note on the construction project
The construction project at Bruderholz includes a manufacturing facility for proprietary products, a training kitchen, employee lounges, and additional storage facilities. Furthermore, existing building parts will be renovated and the infrastructure adapted.
