02.03.2026, The International Ocean Film Tour Vol. 12 is coming to Switzerland after a successful premiere on February 24, 2026, in Hamburg – with KLM as the official partner. The film series tells captivating stories about the oceans, water sports, and marine conservation. It offers new perspectives and celebrates people who combine passion, a spirit of discovery, and a sense of responsibility.


For the twelfth time, the International Ocean Film Tour presents a selection of international films. As part of a Europe-wide cinema tour, five special stories focused on the topics of the ocean, water sports, and marine conservation take center stage.

The Program of the International Ocean Film Tour Vol. 12

Five films, five unique stories – under, on, or over the ocean:

'A DIFFERENT BEAST': Three Scottish brothers brave extreme ocean conditions during their Pacific crossing and reach their physical limits.

'THE LAST DIVE': A moving story about the extraordinary friendship between a former diver and a manta ray.

'HOME IS THE OCEAN': The Swiss Schwörer family offers insights into their life aboard their expedition sailing boat over seven years – a life characterized by freedom, a connection with nature, and the challenges of living far from the mainland.

'UP THE COAST': Kite legend Kevin Langeree and his crew take viewers on an adventurous road trip along the South African coast – full of speed and adrenaline.

'CHRISTA FUNK – FIRST IN, LAST OUT': A look behind the camera: The surf photographer talks about her beginnings in Colorado, her passion for the ocean, and her search for the magical moment between wave and light.
