21.05.2026, Cham () - Compact, smart, confident: The new Skoda Epiq expands Skoda Auto's successful electric portfolio into the entry-level segment, combining compact dimensions with a spacious interior and high everyday practicality. In its basic version, the Epiq achieves price parity with its combustion engine counterpart, the Kamiq, in many markets, making it the most affordable fully electric Skoda model. This brings the brand’s electric vehicles within reach of an even broader customer base. In Switzerland, the Epiq is expected to be available from CHF 25,900, positioning it as the entry model into Skoda's fully electric portfolio. The city SUV crossover plays a key role in Skoda's electric portfolio and, along with the Peaq, will double the brand's fully electric model range. Developed within the Brand Group Core, the Epiq supports the Volkswagen Group's competitive positioning in the crucial segment of compact, high-volume electric vehicles.

The Skoda Epiq is the brand's most affordable fully electric model and the entry point into Skoda's fully electric portfolio.

Building on the success of the Enyaq and Elroq, the Epiq strengthens Skoda Auto's position in the European electric vehicle market and, along with the upcoming Peaq, will double Skoda's fully electric model range.

The Epiq is based on the new generation MEB+ electric platform with front-wheel drive, reduced weight, and high operating efficiency.

The Epiq is Skoda's first production model to fully implement the 'Modern Solid' design language, including a new T-shaped light signature.

Compact exterior dimensions combine with a generous interior, including a 475-litre luggage compartment and bidirectional charging functionality.

The new Epiq is the first Skoda electric vehicle to offer complete vehicle control with just one pedal.

In Switzerland, the new Skoda Epiq will be available from CHF 25,900, making it the most affordable fully electric model in Skoda's portfolio.

Klaus Zellmer, Skoda Auto CEO, states:

"The Epiq is our most accessible entry into electric mobility - compact, confident, unmistakably Skoda, and designed to offer exceptional value for money. It sets clear standards for what an entry-level electric model should be: clear, functional design, intuitive operation, and genuine everyday utility. As our first production model to fully implement the 'Modern Solid' design language, the Epiq brings technologies from higher vehicle segments into an affordable package. Developed as part of the 'Electric Urban Car Family' within the Brand Group Core, it demonstrates how joint development can create a highly attractive offering in a competitive segment while further strengthening the Skoda brand."

Martin Jahn, Skoda Auto Board Member for Sales and Marketing, adds:

"With the Epiq, we are addressing customers seeking an uncomplicated and attractive entry into electric mobility. The model combines compact dimensions with a surprisingly spacious interior, including a 475-litre boot, and a design focused on functionality. It offers the quality and Simply Clever solutions our customers expect from Skoda, along with new features like bidirectional charging. The Epiq is designed to seamlessly integrate into daily life, whether in the city or beyond. This makes it an attractive choice for newcomers and those already familiar with the brand alike."

The Epiq is the first Skoda model based on the new MEB+ platform and the brand's first fully electric model with front-wheel drive. The platform is optimized for a new generation of compact electric vehicles, combining low weight with high efficiency. With a range of up to 430 kilometers and fast charging capabilities, the Epiq suits both urban commuting and longer journeys. The compact SUV crossover stands out with typical Skoda values like spaciousness and practicality. Its 475-litre boot is among the largest in its class. An attractive value-for-money proposition makes electromobility accessible to an even wider customer base. For the first time in a Skoda production model, the striking design incorporates all elements of the new 'Modern Solid' design language.

Exterior:

The design is characterized by clean lines, simplicity, and refined details. Alongside the glossy black Tech-Deck-Face, a key feature is the new T-shaped light signature, which will also define future Skoda SUV models. The Epiq's compact appearance combines distinctiveness and practicality with a spacious interior. At the same time, aerodynamically optimized features contribute to a drag coefficient of cw 0.275, supporting energy-efficient handling.

Interior:

The Skoda Epiq offers a spacious and functional interior. This is complemented by a 475-litre boot and additional storage solutions, including a 25-litre front luggage compartment, known as a 'frunk'. The clear, intuitive interior design follows the 'Modern Solid' design philosophy. Durable materials, intuitive controls, and a variety of Simply Clever features enhance everyday usability.

Battery and drive variants:

The Skoda Epiq is available with two drive battery sizes and three power variants, all combined with front-wheel drive. The MEB+ platform enables the use of lighter batteries, reducing energy consumption while improving space efficiency in the interior. Depending on configuration, the Epiq offers a range of up to 430 kilometers and fast DC charging from 10 to 80 percent in about 24 minutes; it charges with 11 kW on AC as standard. Additionally, the Epiq supports bidirectional charging, allowing the energy stored in the battery to be used externally or, depending on the infrastructure, fed back to a household or the power grid. In B mode, the Epiq also enables full One Pedal Driving with adjustable recuperation intensity.

Safety and assistance systems:

The Epiq comes equipped with a comprehensive range of safety and driver assistance systems, usually found in higher vehicle segments. Many of these are standard, including Front Assist, Side Assist, Lane Assist, and traffic sign recognition. Optional systems like Travel Assist 3.0 further enhance driving assistance capabilities. Passenger safety is ensured by seven airbags, including a central airbag, as standard.

Connectivity:

Connectivity in the Skoda Epiq is provided by an Android-based infotainment system and a 13.1-inch central display. The system offers extensive customization options, online services, and access to an app store. The MySkoda app allows remote access to vehicle information, charge management, and selected comfort functions.

First Edition:

Shortly after market launch, the Skoda Epiq will also be available as a limited First Edition. Based on the Selection trim, this version features extended standard equipment and is only combined with the most powerful drive. It also stands out with its own specific interior and exterior design elements.

The new Skoda Epiq extends Skoda's fully electric model range into the important entry-level segment, offering customers a broader choice of electric vehicles. As part of the 'European Urban Car Family' within the Brand Group Core, the Epiq benefits from joint development and economies of scale, allowing Skoda to offer advanced electric technology at an attractive price to a wide customer base.
